Part 1: Throwback Thursday to 2013 and Onesies!

Thursday! I LOVE Thursday's! I especially love when it's a rainy Thursday. Don't ask me why...?

I'm going to hit a bunch of topics in this post. Ready?

Okay, first off, my friend Jen has just been KILLING her weight loss program! I am so so so proud of her in general, her hard work, and dedication. She's got it going on, friends!

Here is a photo of her declaring that she has officially hit the -10lbs mark. I'm 100% sure that almost every woman in America wants to "lose 10 lbs." Am I right? 10lbs at least. She is on her way up that Wall Of Fame! Look at that smile!

While we're on results...You've probably seen this one floating around on my social media...Throwback Thursday!

I would like to address a couple of things on this one.

1. The photo on the left was about 2 years ago. 2013. 2013 wasn't my best friend, but definitely a 100% learning year for me. I don't even remember being that way, not at all. Except 1 instance. I love American Eagle skinnies, and I went in to buy a pair of white skinnies. I couldn't fit into the same size of the ones I had stashed from the previous Spring. I was super discouraged. How did this happen? Derp, well I did that. I can't quite remember if that was the instance when I took the blame for my self.

2. Let me tell you, the goals and struggles I had in the photo on the left are long gone. I haven't eaten Spaghetti O's with plain Lays Potato chips as the spoon (YEAH, I DID THAT.), I haven't had a box of Mac and Cheese, devoured an entire Jack's pepperoni pizza, or caved in to a McFlurry in over 2 years. That was a big change for me, if you don't know that part of me. There is one food that I will not give up from my previous (body image) life...PICKLES. Nope, sorry folks, I won't do it. "You're going to turn into a pickle," my Grandpa Don would always say--which has been taken over by my dad. So what if I do?! :) Can you imagine a snatching pickle? Lol...that was terrible, sorry.

The goals and struggles I have now weren't even a thought yet. How crazy is that? Have you ever thought about that? That goals, struggles, obstacles, learning experiences that you will encounter in the future, you have no idea about...yet?

3. All right, to the photo on the right. I guess this is the best I could come up with for the time being. Semi-side angle, at the gym, my belt is as tight as my body will allow, and I know my booty and legs didn't look like they do now.

4. I guess my point with this part is, it didn't just "happen" to me. I have had to work really hard. And I continue to work on it. I can't just get to a point of losing 30lbs and then go back to my old eating habits because I'm "skinny." No. I have worked super hard for this, and even though my "Before" photo might be someone's progress photo, it doesn't matter where you start, anyone can do it! I'm not necessarily calling people "weak," but it's mind over matter. The person HAS to have control of their thoughts to get what they want. They cannot depend on outside influences to make this happen. It is not the outside influences fault that you don't organize your food (meal prep), invest in healthy meals instead of running into a gas station or the closest Wendy's--you actually spend more doing that! Take responsibility and control.

5. And last, but not least. For those who tend to make fun of, make a joke, or say snotty remarks about people who choose healthy over unhealthy--I treat myself occasionally. It's fine. I know the world will keep turning, hell won't freeze over, and I probably won't feel too guilty. Weird, huh?

Ok, onto other topics.

Um, speaking of lifting. I know twin boys who will be receiving these.!

I have a Part 2 of this post...this one is just getting so long! :)

Weekend

Last weekend was fantastic! Friday was spent, literally running around, getting errands done. Seems to be the norm, now-a-days!

Saturday, I woke up, got my hair done, had birthday lunch with my dad, step mom, and sister. We FLEW down to Des Moines to get my make up done at Vanity & Glamour! If you haven't gotten your make up done before, or done here, you're missing out!

My sister and I made our way to the hotel and relaxed for a bit before everyone arrived for the festivities. Once everyone arrived, I busted out my selfie stick. Yep. As awkward as they are, I think it was a pretty awesome investment!

We had dinner at Americana. Pork chop and asparagus over hereeeaaa! Yum! We then made our way to karaoke. I'm not a very good singer, but I enjoy some good, organic entertainment. Especially when it's Jen Schild and Salt and Pepper is the band of choice!

I have been very blessed with some gorgeous friends!

And of course, Easter with this guy was great! We made our way to church at Cornerstone. Who definitely put on an awesome Easter service. Following church, Collin showed his mom his real estate agent office, and then we made our way to Old Main for a delicious buffet. I had to leave for a work meeting out of town shortly after our awesome lunch, but overall, I'd say the weekend was one of success!

IF you mustache...It's a...wait, no, just kidding!

I am so sorry about not keeping you up-to-date lately. Whoa baby!

Speaking of babies!!!

I have been anxiously awaiting the day my sister finds out the gender of her bebe!

Well, Wednesday was the day!

I anxiously waited by my tele, clicking the 'Home' button on my iPhone making sure I didn't miss it while looking away for .2 seconds.

One simple word summed it up. Not only revealing the gender, but the gender of BOTH BABIES!

TWINS!!!!!!!!

YES, THERE ARE TWO IN THERE!

No one even knew! NO ONE! Not my sister, not my mom, not me, not even the doc! One of the littler guys was hiding behind the other! That stinker (no pun intended :) )

Guys, do you know what this means? Double the dino and shark toys, and double the super cute outfits I pick out for them!!! I can't wait. I'm going to knock this "being an aunt" [all around] out of the park!

Cheers To That.

Life is an absolute BLUR right now! Between work, working out, Herbalife, my freelance projects: Max Oxygen's website, theSalon in Ames marketing, attending community events and meetings, and helping my best friend plan her wedding...not to mention, wrapping my head around that I get to find out what my sister will be having THIS month! AHhhhhasdfjlasdjkf!

It's fun though. So fun. I even make new friends doing all of that.

I love my friend, Kristen. She rocks. And she's pretty. And has a fantastic attitude and work ethic. Which added together equals greatness.

Cheers to that.

Weekend Recap! HELLOOOO MARCH!

March is my FAVORITE! Absolute, fav.or.ite! Not to mention my birthday ends the month, but the weather definitely gets me excited. (Hopefully) No more of this terrible, stabbing coldness!

I have a lot to catch you up on! First being, that you already know Mr. Collin has become a Realtor. He taught me how to pronounce it correctly yesterday...since I will help him with his business, I think I need to know how to say it  right, right? REAL-TOR not Real-a-ter. Ms. Lilly would be proud.

I caught him working hard last Friday. I'm used to him constantly talking to customers/clients on the phone, but add in being a REAL-TOR, and this is a whole new level. But I've learned it's what makes him so happy, and he is SO good at it that I love listening to his energy and how he interacts with all types of people. Excuse my cheesy face.

Then I bring you, Saturday. What a day it was! I had a blast! My good friend Kristen, gave me a little hair cut! AH! Yes, so short, so new, and I don't regret it. My long hair was getting too........dull? I don't know, but this look is for sure what I needed heading into Spring and Summer.

That night, we were invited to the Boys & Girls Club of Story County Gala. Now, if you didn't know, a Gala is a fancy name for a fancy party/fundraiser. And it was just that! Fancy food, fancy drinks, wine, cheese and bread, ect. Not to mention, two of my favorite places to be on earth were recognized for their donations!

Selfies are cool...? I couldn't seem to rotate my arms enough so you could see my braid!

Sunday was spent cleaning, meal prepping, and then we had our Herbalife Wellness Coach Graduation and Holiday Party!

And, then there was this...

Thank you for being funny, Collin. :)
