Thursday! I LOVE Thursday's! I especially love when it's a rainy Thursday. Don't ask me why...?
I'm going to hit a bunch of topics in this post. Ready?
Okay, first off, my friend Jen has just been KILLING her weight loss program! I am so so so proud of her in general, her hard work, and dedication. She's got it going on, friends!
Here is a photo of her declaring that she has officially hit the -10lbs mark. I'm 100% sure that almost every woman in America wants to "lose 10 lbs." Am I right? 10lbs at least. She is on her way up that Wall Of Fame! Look at that smile!

While we're on results...You've probably seen this one floating around on my social media...Throwback Thursday!
I would like to address a couple of things on this one.
1. The photo on the left was about 2 years ago. 2013. 2013 wasn't my best friend, but definitely a 100% learning year for me. I don't even remember being that way, not at all. Except 1 instance. I love American Eagle skinnies, and I went in to buy a pair of white skinnies. I couldn't fit into the same size of the ones I had stashed from the previous Spring. I was super discouraged. How did this happen? Derp, well I did that. I can't quite remember if that was the instance when I took the blame for my self.
2. Let me tell you, the goals and struggles I had in the photo on the left are long gone. I haven't eaten Spaghetti O's with plain Lays Potato chips as the spoon (YEAH, I DID THAT.), I haven't had a box of Mac and Cheese, devoured an entire Jack's pepperoni pizza, or caved in to a McFlurry in over 2 years. That was a big change for me, if you don't know that part of me. There is one food that I will not give up from my previous (body image) life...PICKLES. Nope, sorry folks, I won't do it. "You're going to turn into a pickle," my Grandpa Don would always say--which has been taken over by my dad. So what if I do?! :) Can you imagine a snatching pickle? Lol...that was terrible, sorry.
The goals and struggles I have now weren't even a thought yet. How crazy is that? Have you ever thought about that? That goals, struggles, obstacles, learning experiences that you will encounter in the future, you have no idea about...yet?
3. All right, to the photo on the right. I guess this is the best I could come up with for the time being. Semi-side angle, at the gym, my belt is as tight as my body will allow, and I know my booty and legs didn't look like they do now.
4. I guess my point with this part is, it didn't just "happen" to me. I have had to work really hard. And I continue to work on it. I can't just get to a point of losing 30lbs and then go back to my old eating habits because I'm "skinny." No. I have worked super hard for this, and even though my "Before" photo might be someone's progress photo, it doesn't matter where you start, anyone can do it! I'm not necessarily calling people "weak," but it's mind over matter. The person HAS to have control of their thoughts to get what they want. They cannot depend on outside influences to make this happen. It is not the outside influences fault that you don't organize your food (meal prep), invest in healthy meals instead of running into a gas station or the closest Wendy's--you actually spend more doing that! Take responsibility and control.

5. And last, but not least. For those who tend to make fun of, make a joke, or say snotty remarks about people who choose healthy over unhealthy--I treat myself occasionally. It's fine. I know the world will keep turning, hell won't freeze over, and I probably won't feel too guilty. Weird, huh?
Ok, onto other topics.
Um, speaking of lifting. I know twin boys who will be receiving these.!
